Q. If I give a gift to the Center, what is my money being used for?

A. Your gift will help us...
...offer one-time rent assistance to keep families in their home.
...help people obtain necessary life-sustaining medications.
...provide your neighbors with something to eat and keep families who have fallen on hard times well-fed.
...share clothing, furniture, and household items with victims of fire, natural disasters, and other traumatic events.
...make one-time emergency electricity, water, and gas payments to keep people warm in the winter and able to cook and do homework.
...distribute personal care and home cleaning products to people who cannot afford them.
...provide parents with aid that helps struggling mothers provide for their babies and gives children the supplies they need to be academically confident.

Q. When and how can I give?

A. You can give cash gifts at any time by giving online through your credit card or bank account, mailing us a check, or stopping by our office.

Q. How can giving a charitable gift help me on my taxes?

A. The Samaritan Center has 501(c)(3) non-profit status with the IRS, so that means every donation you give counts as a tax-deductible donation. To get your deduction at the end of the year, be sure to save your receipt for your tax records.

Q. What is the Samaritan Center's Campaign for Community?

A. Campaign for Community (CFC) is the Samaritan Center's only annual community-wide fundraiser. You can give to the Campaign year-round, but it is promoted annually in local churches in November and December. To learn more about getting your church involved with CFC, call 423.238.7777.
