Thanks to our generous community, the Samaritan Center was able to provide Christmas for 210 children. These children's parents or guardians would not have been able to afford any gifts without help. Many are searching for jobs and just trying to stay afloat. See Tonya's story.
For children, Christmas is such an important time of year, and the Samaritan Center recognizes Christ's gift by giving gifts to those who would have none. Parents chose the gifts they knew their kids would love, and they picked out wrapping paper, stocking stuffers, and hats and gloves, too! Their ability to wrap the presents and give them directly to their children kept Christmas a family event for our clients.
Thank you to each of you who gave to our Toyland. And we would especially like to thank Dale's Heat & Air, Island Cove Marina, Morning Pointe, Cash Express, Pinnacle Physical Therapy, Collegedale Adventist Middle School seventh graders (Ms. Ladi's class), Sears, Georgia O'Brien & friends, Ooltewah United Methodist Church Mother's Day Out kindergarteners, and all groups who collected toys for the Samaritan Center. You enabled us to provide more than $18,000 in gifts to families in need this Christmas.
