Q: What are the Samaritan Center's store hours?
A: See store hours.
Q: Can anyone shop at the Center?
A: Yes, everyone is welcome to come and shop. We have a thrift store, a clearance store, and a toy store inside our building.
Q: What items does the Center sell?
A: Clothing, shoes, furniture, household items, small and large appliances (as they are donated), linens, toys, and many other items. The store's shelves and racks are stocked with new items 2-3 times per day.
Q: Does the Center sell or loan medical equipment?
A: Yes, the Center makes such items available as they are donated.
Q: Is it possible to buy donations while they are still in the warehouse/donation area?
A: No, to make it fair for everyone, nothing goes up for sale until it is priced and put on the store floor by one of the Center's employees.
Q: Can customers haggle in the Center’s thrift shops?
A: No, the Center will not reduce the prices on its wares at the request of a customer in the Thrift, Clearance, or Toy Stores. There is haggling, however, at the Center’s sidewalk sales, which occur most Sundays in front of the Samaritan Center’s main building.
Q: Do people who donate frequently (or at all) get discounts when they come to shop in the store?
A: No. The Center appreciates people who donate, but because store proceeds benefit the Center’s programs and services, we are unable to discount the prices any farther than they already are.
Q: What happens if the price is missing on an item that is for sale in the store?
A: In that situation, the item has to be reprocessed and priced again before it can be bought.
Q: What is the Center's return policy for items that don’t fit, don’t work, etc.? Does the Center give cash refunds?
A: The Center does not give cash refunds but can give you store credit for the full value of one returned item once a year.
