4th Grader's $3 Make a Difference

When Sarah Hudson's parents decided to have a yard sale, Sarah got an idea.

In addition to helping them with the main sale, she would run her own snack booth to earn money for the Samaritan Center.

At her stand she sold cookies, donuts, and homemade lemonade.

“I sold two donuts and four cookies,” Sarah says, “but no one wanted lemonade.”

After manning her booth from seven in the morning to noon, Sarah totaled her hard-earned proceeds: $3. And the next time her mother took her shopping at the Center, she stopped by the office to drop off her precious gift.

Some give a lot; some give a little. Everyone gives what they can.

"I wanted to help," Sarah shares.

And she did.
