Food Donations

Thanks to the efforts and generosity of our faithful supporters, the Samaritan Center's Food Pantry is a great ministry to our community.

The second-largest food pantry in Eastern Hamilton County, our Community Food Pantry distributes more than 50,000 items of food each year.

We get our food supply from three sources:

1) Food Pantry Partners
Food Pantry Partners are churches, businesses, or other groups that choose a special food (Spaghetti-Os, baked beans, apple juice, butter, etc.) to donate to the Samaritan Center on an ongoing basis to benefit their neighbors in need. Food Pantry Partners take on their food commitment for one year at a time.

2) Food Drives and Individual Donations
If you, your church, or your business would like a more short-term commitment, consider doing a food drive for the Center. We also appreciate individual donations, which can be dropped off at the Center's office Monday through Thursday 9:00-4:00. If you cannot come during these times, call 423.238.7777, ext. 23, to make special arrangements.

3) The Food Bank
The Samaritan Center sincerely appreciates the convenience and kindness of the Chattanooga Food Bank, which allows nonprofits to buy food products at a great discount. The Center purchases at the Food Bank whatever we still need after assistance from Food Pantry Partners and drives.
